We are the same type, my father and I. The harsh, critical but soft hearted ones with a penchant for a good chat. We are quick to judge, but love those who win us over with a good dose of sincerity. While we are similar, we are not the same.
My father thrives through extroverted activities. He enjoys and is really in his own element when surrounded by friends and good beers. I on the other hand thrive in the quiet little corners, sometimes over analyzing the world, deep in thought, hungry for something, always looking for something.
We have our differences, but time has mellowed us both and the similarities between the two of us are reaching middle ground. It seems time does indeed heal all wounds, if only you let it.
This entry is part of Project 365 where I’ll post a photo a day (or at least try very hard to).
